Lido Lifeguards

The Lido would not function without its dedicated team of lifeguards, led by Paul Jeal, senior supervisor for the four swimming facilities on Hampstead Heath, which are all managed by the City of London Corporation.  The lifeguards do a fantastic job in keeping the pool open and working every day of the year.

In 2017 Paul and fellow-lifeguard Mick Annegarn ran the London Marathon in memory of their colleague Glyn Roberts, who had worked at the lido for 25 years and who tragically died suddenly in January of that year:
